If you are using the Clubhouse or Pool deck for anything please make sure to contact me to have this added to the community calendar, so everyone is aware. Also, please make sure to clean up afterwards and leave the area the way you found it. The Clubhouse, Gym and Pool deck will always remain open to the community at all times. Ponds Report - July 23, 2026
Our pond maintenance company Dragonfly Pond Works (formerly Envirotech) recently completed some regular maintenance on our ponds and provided a report to the Board. Summarizing that report: Standard Maintenance Includes - Treatment of nuisance vegetation in basin as needed and as permitted by municipality - Control of unwanted vegetation on inlets, outlets, and spillway, structures - Removal of trash from basin - Cleaning and inspecting drain, weirs, and riser - Hand re-arra

Sullivan's Landscaping has suspended the rest of the mowing this week (July 22-24, 2026) due to the heavy rain we've had the past couple of days. The ground is too wet to mow without doing damage to the ground.

The Board is aware of the significant increase in the amount of algae in the ponds. Everything possible that is environmentally friendly is being done to mitigate this issue. There is no need to call, email, or put in work orders about the algae.

Week of July 5-11, 2026
Sullivan's has announced that this week's mowing will be skipped due to high temperatures and drought conditions. Skipping mowing this week will give the grass a chance to recover some. The launch site for the Fun Sup/Kayaking will be Sassafrass Landing in Assawoman Wildlife Area. With a busy weekend ... a couple of reminders!
Saturday, June 13 is our Annual Pool Party. It runs from 2-6 pm. Burgers, dogs, buns and condiments are provided. Monday, June 15 at 9:00 a.m. is the Adopt-A-HIghway litter pickup. This is a perfect time to join in if you've never done so before. It looks like there is not a large amount of trash on the roadway, so I should go quickly with plenty of help.

Adopt-A-Highway Litter Pickup (June 15, 2026)
Atlantic Lakes is joining in the statewide litter pickup celebrating the 250th anniversary of the founding of the United States of America. Crews will be picking up litter along our state's roadways June 14-20. We will gather at the Clubhouse at 9:00 am on Monday, June 15 to pickup our stretch of Lighthouse Road from Bishopville Rd to Johnson Rd. Pool Party!

Atlantic Lakes Community Pool Opening-Reminders
Atlantic Lakes Community pool will open for the season on Saturday, May 23, 2026. We are looking forward to an enjoyable summer for everyone in our community. To keep everyone informed and safe, we ask that you follow these guidelines: Entry to the pool deck should be made using your fob, either through the front clubhouse doors, or the South Gate. The north gate will be an “Exit Only”. Glass of any kind is prohibited in the pool deck area. No running on the pool deck. C
